- מִצְנֶפֶתf. (b. h.; v. צנף a. derivatives) (the bright head-dress) turban esp. the priests turban. Tosef. Yoma I, 10 נוטל מִצְנַפְתּוֹ שלוכ׳ he took the turban from the head of one of them, and they knew that the count for the lot was to begin with him; Yoma 25a.
